Sandwich
What we know today as a sandwich probably comes from a story about John Montagu (1718-1792), 4th Earl of Sandwich, who made it popular by eating slices of cold meat between bread at the gaming table during very long sessions instead of having proper meals. After that people began to order "the same as Sandwich!"
